My Daughter Scratched Her Glasses

After spending a small fortune on a pair of prada sunglasses for my daughter’s 15th birthday, she revealed to me a few days later than she had already scratched them. I asked her how she had managed it and she told me that when she wasn’t wearing them, she hooked them over the neck of her t shirt. However, when she went to the bathroom and went to tie up her shoe lace, they fell out and landed lens first. I asked to see them and she sheepishly brought them out of her bag. The scratches actually weren’t too bad and I thought the glasses may have been salvageable, so I took them upstairs, put some toothpaste on a cotton bud and started rubbing it in. Eventually, the scratch started to disappear and I managed to save her glasses, though I did suggest to her that she invested in a proper case for them.
